I Believe...

...that those with privilege received it without merit. Like a rich kid given an inheritance, he has no responsibility to give it up to better anyone else but only reinforces the most selfish images of humanity if he refuses to share.

...that we can view our past in swatches of pain or joy and how we see our past paints our present and defines our future.

...that nothing good can come from exaggerating your suffering.

...that the difference between someone who can tell a story and a storyteller is craft. No craft and you're just someone talking onstage. Add craft and you are an artist. Sort of like speeches: Trump just says shit; Obama is a master orator.

...that a policy of inclusion must eliminate the natural tendency of seeing people in tribes. Tribalism, identity politics and contrast by comparison are the enemies of inclusion.
