A Why Not Life

"Hey. We only have $18 in the theater checking account. Wanna sign a lease for our own venue?"

WHY NOT?

"I'm thinking about writing a sketch comedy piece a day for entire year."

WHY NOT?

"Let's put together a podcast with no money but a lot of passion."

WHY NOT?

"Let's make a movie on my iPad..."
"Let's write a song..."
"Let's fuck in the bathroom of this restaurant..."
"Let's spend the day handing change to the homeless..."
"Let's build a 'personal' computer in my garage!"
"Let's go to the gym..."
"Let's dance in the rain..."
"Let's try that nasty 24-hour Taco place..."
"Let's read some poetry out loud..."

WHY NOT?

We have a lot of hang ups.
We have a LOT of hang ups that prevent us from embracing LIFE.

Fear of failure.
Fear of loss.
Fear of what others will think of us.
Fear of upsetting the illusory balance created by society that tells us to step in line, tow the line, keep in line.

If the answer to WHY NOT? is (honestly, now) "I'm afraid of..." then do it with gusto.  Dispel the fear, ignore the fear, beat the fear.

I figure that living is defined by creation.  Create something just because you can.  Create something just because you're afraid to.  Experience something because to not experience it is to regret not trying.

WHY NOT?
