I Believe… [Universal Sociopaths]

...that willpower is finite and must be prioritized. Example: I can either exercise my willpower over a desire to eat bricks of cheese or binging episodes of Bosch but not both at the same time.

...that anyone, when driving through the canyons of Utah or the mountains of Colorado, not struck with a sense of great humility at how vast the planet is and how insignificant each of us is in the grand scheme of things is an idiot.

...that when the vast majority of Americans are on the spectrum of sociopathy, calling someone a sociopath is sort of like saying “He’s just like most of us.”

...that the best food for a roadtrip is a cuisine comprised of beef jerky, Fritos, and truck stop coffee.

...that the presence of death is perpetually balanced between the philosophical and the personal. It’s easy to be philosophical when the person dying is of no relation.
