Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of September 12, 2021

By David Himmel

• Boredom should never be an option. If you can’t think of anything to do, get a tattoo.

• I like to think that when our society crumbles and future humans or alien scavengers dig our civilization out of the dirt, they’ll look at the Met Gala and laugh at our absurd level of indulgence the way we look and laugh at ancient Rome.

• Kenny Loggins has never even been on the frontage road along the Highway to the Danger Zone.

• The most patronizing sentence could be, “Look, lady. I’ve been against the patriarchy since you were still in diapers.”

• Looking at my daily average of thought activity, I think about hair more than anything else.

• It is difficult not thinking about your past when considering your child’s future.
