Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of September 22, 2024
• Ethical lying is a way for unethical people to feel good about themselves. Nothing more.
• Compromise sucks. But half a loaf of bread is better than no bread at all.
• You know what I think would be a fun job? Creating on-the-package recipes. So creative. The challenge of the limitation forces all the creative muscles to flex and work hard, which only begets stronger creative muscles. And I suppose, based on this, I should be more into cooking competitions and experimenting in my kitchen. And yet, I am not into those shows and I don’t do much experimentation in the kitchen. What do you suppose that says about me? It’s not laziness. I use my creative muscles elsewhere. Perhaps it’s just admiration.
• Stubbornness is an ugly trait we all possess. When we treat it like it’s a value, it will be our undoing.
• Today matters. This moment matters. And not for the instant, but for what happens next. For tomorrow.
• Seek balance in all things. Unless you can’t. Because I just can’t seem to get my left armpit to sweat as much as my right.
