Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of January 26, 2025
• As a parent, it’s important to remember that your children are not you. Similar, sure. There’s a lot of nurture and nature at play, but your children are unique. Don’t force your joys on them. Share them. And, most importantly, don’t make your fears theirs. They’ll find their own.
• I’m dating a conservative. She doesn’t let me finish until I admit we have Jewish space lasers.
• When all the advice is bad, when you have trust burning a hole in your pocket but no where to spend it, trust yourself with abandon.
• Arguing or debating politics is a fool’s errand. Make it about policy and you’ll get somewhere.
• Don’t underestimate the joy a good pair of socks can bring to your day.
• The way to fight sexism is not to replace it with a different sexism.
