Hung Up on a Guy; Mad at My Friends; Drinking in a Loud, Crowded Bar

By Elizabeth Harper

big deal crazy
live or die
sick movement time
foot in front of foot
things miss things remember

write poetry bars
voices head loud
booming permeates
room invades pores
pounding pounding
still words rise top head spilling page

how so old how so different
what species these people
what talking about
always old always different
what species what planet
when coming take me home
posturing boasting
fights criticizing
braggarts
we all know

good girl bad girl
so long
bad girl good girl
long enough
keep playing
tennis ball
volleyed across
net
side to side
forever wondering (wandering)
when racket squash flat
living dying on grid

alcohol infinitely beautiful
seductive chorus girls
lined up dancing
synchronicity stoli bottles
flavors colors
whisky and whiskey
kentucky scotch tennessee irish
any nationality okay with me

thought process escape plan
unforeseen mess
learning cleaning burning
someone something
change life make see
something haven't seen before

deep thought fight fought
time home? never knowing
where I belong never knowing
where or why okay to roam
busy mind dirty mind
don't want waste
just want taste
tell you how good
it is
