I Believe… [Equal and Opposite]

…that when biology has become more subjective than race we have turned a corner into simply making up our own reality. In that vein, I think I’ll go join a dinner party with Rachel Dolezal as an Angry Sea Otter (but definitely a white one).

…that Twitter has devolved into the FOX News for the Left.

…that the ahistorical indiscriminate tearing down of public statues is a grand cosmetic surgery for our communal spaces but without having the conversation about which statues to tear down we miss the opportunity to educate ourselves.

…that if you don’t support free speech for those you disagree with you don’t support free speech. Eventually it will be you who is silenced. Yeah, it‘s a cliché but so is “He who lives by cancellation, dies by his own Twitter feed” or something like that. Was there a sword in that one or something?

…that protest has become the new Lollapalooza and Coachella experience with a lot more performative outrage and property destruction and a lot less patchouli and Red Bull.
