Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 7, 2021

By David Himmel

• The quickest way to become an asshole is to take yourself, your work, or your art too seriously.

• The greatest crime against American citizens Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) committed was raiding massage parlors in Springfield, Missouri.

• Some things are just meant to be. Peanut butter and jelly. Sam and Diane. McDonald’s and an hour on the toilet.

• Whining doesn’t get you far unless your goal is to be a cable news commentator.

 • Calling yourself a maverick doesn’t make you a maverick. It makes you a blowhard.

• The first thing I’m going to do when the I’m vaccinated and safe is puke in the restroom of a very nice restaurant.
