I Believe... [Poisoning the Public Well]

By Don Hall

...that life gives us three choices as we tumble through time toward death: fail and wallow, coast and feel unfulfilled, or swing for the fences and maybe—MAYBE—do something extraordinary.

...that anyone overly concerned with Matt Damon’s use of slurs from the ‘90s in the privacy of his own home has FAR too much time on their hands and are sadly desperate for Twitter relevancy.

...that the lack of civil discourse and thoughtful debate is a result of a poisoning of the public well that sickens everyone who drinks from it.

...that the films made before 1990 have a specific appeal to me due to the lack of smartphones, social media, and omnipresent cameras. How ironic that I watch them streaming on an iPad.

..that in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, he has created the ultimate Woke warrior in Peacemaker as he utters “I cherish peace with all my heart and I'll kill any man, woman, or child I need to to get it.”
