I Believe... [Autonomy is a Singular Goal]

...that an hour long walk in 85˚ heat while listening to Rob Lowe podcast with Burt Kreischer is the perfect way to celebrate America.

...that I simply can’t, no matter how hard I try, understand the mentality of someone who decides he’s so miserable and angry that killing a bunch of random people with a rifle is somehow the right solution. Offing himself? Sure. A bunch of randos in a public place? Nope.

...that Himmel is completely, 100% correct when he states that marriage is a willingness to forgo autonomy. Given my almost relentless desire for autonomy, I should’ve known better…

...that after nearly a century of liberal policy wins, that shift of liberals becoming the party of the status quo in general is under way. The progressive rhetoric mirrors that of the rightwing fifty years ago.

...that while authentic love never dies, unconditional acceptance of horrible behavior either is rejected or it kills you slowly like a spoonful of weedkiller a day.
