I Believe… [In Live Music]

...that being patient is combined with the promise that there is a reward at the end. If being patient is an act without hope for better, it is a poison that welcomes the inevitable diminishing of the self.

...that throwing oneself into a gauntlet of fifteen to seventeen hour days of labor is simply a way of proving that it is still possible.

...that no one in this life succeeds or fails alone. Both achievement and demise require help.

...that it is better to bite off more than you chew and masticate with abandon than to nibble at things and never get the damn thing eaten.

...that music, like sex, sports, and theater, is best enjoyed live.
