I Believe… [Downshifting]
...that when things are going your way it is best to ignore the snake brain that nags at you about the potential hazards upcoming. Shut that voice down and enjoy the moment.
...that if we can look past each of our individual Skinner boxes and actively seek out one another, the surprise will be that the boxes are not so much who we are but the costumes of belief.
...that learning to downshift is more difficult than it seems but is a skill well worth mastering.
...that the leap into the unkown—the new job, the new relationship, the new paradigm—is only scary when pushing yourself out of the door of the plane. Once you manage to go for it, the fall is easy.
...that compromise is an absolute necessity in any union but compromise is defined by both sides giving a little for the greater good and the health of the unit. A one-sided compromise is a broken lodestone in the foundation.
