Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of December 15, 2024

By David Himmel

•  Now that I’m an adult and can eat as much sugar cereal as I want, Lucky Charms just don’t taste as good as they did when I was twelve years old. That’s the problem with being an adult and the benefit of being a kid: Access ruins everything.

• I have trouble spelling misogyny and career. The two are likely related.

• I’ve found that a lot of empowerment comes from the honesty only found in self-loathing.

• Christmas is a time for giving, being with family and friends, and hating every other asshole out there in the shops and on the roads also trying to spread joy and share in the Christmas spirit.

• Hanukkah is a time for Jewish people to desperately try to feel relevant during Christmastime.

• Giving up doesn’t have to mean giving in. If played right, it can mean changing course for a better outcome.
