Notes from the Post-It Wall | Week of May 26, 2024

By David Himmel

• Truth is a shared experience with vastly different outcomes.

• Trump’s super guilty verdict isn’t going to impact his MAGA brood. It may sway some indie voters. The only impact is sending him to jail. And why not? He’s got a long record of this behavior and he won’t stop with a fine or probation. Put him under the jail. Or…

• …or Trump could drop dead. Because that will make this campaign easier to live through. Biden could drop dead, too. But then we’d have Kamala. And frankly, I can’t take another campaign with her tripping all over her own feet like a drunk 6-year-old playing soccer in the snow.

• Right and wrong is overrated. There is what is and there is what we do about it.

• Close enough to what you imagined can be exactly the difference you need.

• A fresh haircut or a freshly trimmed lawn can change your entire perspective on the world for the better. So, cut your hair, kid. Pull some weeds. Make a difference.
