I Believe… [Acknowledge This]

...that the source of 98% of our anxieties come from our imaginative prediction of a future that is unknowable and our inability to release control of circumstances beyond us.

...that it in our commitment to endure the extremes and maintain a sense of self that defines our character. I’ve lived in Vegas and Chicago and the brutal heat and cold has carved me into a man made of rusted steel and spite.

...that in the last few years of Marvel missteps it’s easy to forget the excitement and joy my inner ten-year old had watching the Infinity Saga for years. I nearly bawled when the Chicago Philharmonic played the Marvel theme before a showing of Black Panther. That’s freaking childhood gold.

...that land acknowledgments are a collective pat on the back for people who want to seem aware without breaking a sweat. Trust me—money or land would mean more.
