Notes from the Post-it Wall | Week of March 1, 2020
• Weaponized feminism will benefit no one. Weaponization is only for the purpose of conquering. And conquering breeds conquerors who will always exploit the Other.
• If you managed to beat the odds by getting that square peg into that round hole, you’ve also damaged both the peg and the hole.
• POTUS matters. But nothing matters more than the Senate. No president—not Sanders, Biden, or Trump—can do all the good or ill they want if the Senate does its job right. If Trump wins, which he probably will, he’ll be rendered almost powerless if we can get the barnacles sucking at his disfigured taint out of office. Policy is law, law comes from legislators. Put the majority of your focus on the Capitol, not the White House.
• The one thing a know-it-all never knows is that no one likes them.
• This week was on full of self-care. I put in a bit of good work, got a haircut, and saw my doctor. All that self-care is for naught, however, because I’ll be spending this weekend at an indoor waterpark.
• You know what goes well with the coronavirus? Lyme disease. (This joke courtesy of my father.)
